Braided River Brooch
A brand new piece from The Wild - this brooch features a smooth tab of native Rewarewa timber, fitted behind the feature carving inspired by the braided rivers of the South Island.
This is part of a new series of work that celebrates and reminds us of our responsibilities as caretakers of our waterways, landscapes and of our use of natural resources.
The braided river carving is cast in solid sterling silver, and finished with light oxidised patina. The brooch back is individually pierced from sterling silver and hand engraved with the type of wood this brooch celebrates.
The brooch catch and hinge are sturdy and the pin is made from 0.9mm sprung stainless steel.
Width (thickness): 9mm (not including pin and hook)
